We'll address each area in turn.

Length - Paddle length is a consequence of many factors. The main aspects to take into consideration are your height, boat width, and your discipline of choice. Most will use this Flyte blade in whitewater, so the available lengths of 191-203cm reflect this. In doubt about which length suits you? Why not get in touch with our specialist staff.

Feather - The offset of the paddle blades is very personal and we have selected 30 and 45 degrees are our two standard options. 30 degrees produces less strain on the wrists and requires less rotation when paddling. Our in store staff tend to recommend this lower feather for play orientated paddling, while 45 degrees works well for more traditional river running.

Shaft Material - As standard the VE Flyte Glass comes with a straight black glass shaft. This is a sweet spot in the range, with the glass shaft offering some flex to reduce the strain on the body. Some customers choose to move up to a straight carbon shaft. This will give a more responsive feel but you will compromise by feeling a little more impact through the joints.

Shaft Construction - The one piece standard layup will always be the most popular, being the strongest and lightest way to produce the paddle. Some customers will choose to upgrade to the 2 piece option, which also allow 10cm of length adjustment and limitless feather changes. It can be useful if you desire one paddle to enjoy across multiple disciplines, or when simple travel is a must. If selecting this option please choose the minimum paddle length you need. i.e. select 191cm in 2 piece and your paddle will adjust from 191-201cm.

SPECIFICATIONS

Shaft
